頭から後ろへ伸びるトサカが特徴的な恐竜です。
このトサカは水中で呼吸されていると考えられていましたが、
今はホルンのように音を反響させて大きな音を出す役割が有力とされています。
史上最強と言われる肉食恐竜です。
あごの力は獲物の骨まで食いちぎる程、強力だったといわれています
白亜紀を代表する草食恐竜の一種です。
名前の由来でもある通り、頭に三本の角があるのが特徴です。
ハドロサウルス科の中でも大型で、発見例が多い恐竜です。
ティラノサウルスに骨ごと食いちぎられた化石は有名です。
ティラノサウルス科の中では小型の分類に入る恐竜です。
カナダのアルバータ州で大量に見つかったことから名付けられました。
